I didn’t mean I like the fact that it’s dead when I clicked Like. Only that I sympathize.
I understand. It was such a sad thing. The children in my class were especially saddened and that blasted wasp just wouldn’t leave it alone.
😦 this makes me sad..poor little fellow.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Very sad 😦
I don’t know what prompted me to stick it up there . . . I’ll have to post something else soon and bury it. Thanks for your comment.
si, poor little thing, but i have no clue; what’s the animal? it looks like a squirrel without the normal tail. z
It’s a baby squirrel. Its tail had yet to become bushy and grow upward.
well well! one is never too old to learn new things! how could i have lived 56 years and not know that?!!! 🙂
I was puzzled too, at first. 🙂 I sent this photo to a friend (a nature photographer) who confirmed it to be a squirrel.
tis sad, but that wasp is huge
I know . . .
Shame, poor little thing.
Yeah. I love squirrels, too!
I agree!
Good to see you here, Resa. I just stopped by your blog to catch up. You’ve got a great blog. 🙂
So do you!
Thanks. 🙂
Huge wasp! Sad for the squirrel 😦
Indeed. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
There are many squirrels on our woodsy acre, so relieved never to have seen a dead one … just too sad.
Blessings – Maxi
It was gone today and peace was restored to that part of the playground.
Ooooooohhhhhh no…. 😦 I think squirrels are so cute – even when they’re grown up… poor baby!
There was no sign of the mother squirrel today . . .
From what I hear sometimes rodents do kill their own babies when they’re sick or “handicapped” and wouldn’t survive anyway.
It’s hard to tell what happened here. It could be that it simply fell out of the tree.
Yes, I know… *sigh*
This makes me sad. A playground version of memento mori. Those disturb me too….poor sad Victorians holding their dead babies or someone propped in a chair…..I saddens me to think of the poor thing suffering.
Oh it was quite dead when we found it–not suffering.
Nice photos – like it
Thanks! I just visited your blog and i’m now following you–wonderful photos.
Thanks for the comment, glad to see you here 🙂
So sad…nothing more full of life than a squirrel…
That’s so true! 🙂
