by design

i keep one eye
on the ambitious door
where shadows race
and walls hum

he sits roughly
in brilliant chair
whilst another sits brilliantly
in stupid chair
thoughts interrupted
by rattling windows
and bones

just outside
someone works diligently
drilling into concrete
surrounded by cold ambient bells
powered by shaky hands
and warm sunshine
