my heart dances
on a halted idea
whilst muse shovels words
back into a wheelbarrow
words that would’ve been mine
i put on the tea kettle
do the right thing

Good one!
Thanks. 🙂
positive thinking now!
Hello, Al. How are you?
Hi Mary Ann. I am less than good at the moment – this year has been dominated by a little lump that appeared under my left collar bone. Months of scans and such, including a core biopsy that made it grow to the size of a kiwi fruit (do you get these in Canada?) led to it being dug out, leaving me with a divot such as you might easily find on the golf course after the weekend hackers have been around. They even took some muscle which this aggressive (but, thankfully, benign) tumour. had been invading.
So, the debilitating effect of that, which still requires the community nurses to pop in and check on and redress, along with my long-stranding chronic fatigue, leaves me a little bit physically limited.
Nonetheless, I am still chirpily cheerful, but do miss the ability to get out on my photo expeditions.
I like being in touch with you, my friend!
Slàinte mhor a h-uile là a chi ‘s nach fhaic
(Scots Gaelic: Great health to you every day that I see you and every day that I don’t)
Thank God it was benign. How awful. We do have kiwis here so I do know the size you’re referring to. I’m glad there’s a nurse keeping an eye on you.
I too had surgery — June 5th actually. What was expected to be a simple gallbladder removal turned into being extensive surgery. The gallbladder was like one big rock. A huge amount of stones and it literally exploded. It took the surgeon 2 1/2 to 3 hours to do the surgery instead of a half hour. I’m back at work now but still in the recovery process.
Wishing you continued steady recovery and great health to you every day that I see you and every day that I don’t. 🙂
Ooooo. Scary! SO glad you are on the mend. Take care.
Thank you.
I don’t know why I have never revealed my actual name! – Adam Pearson.
Lovely name.
Damn, the last line killed me. Great to see you back on WP!
Thank you, Millie. Having surgery and working feverishly to finish the third draft of my screenplay has kept me busy. Glad to be back and thanks for your friendship on WP!
