I remembered yesterday that, almost a lifetime ago and after some years in Africa, my wife and family had no intention of returning to life in the UK (yUK!) so we considered emigrating, either to Canada or to Australia.
We thought Canada “might be too cold”, so we jumped on a plane to Australia! Things seemed easy in these days …
Well, it’s way colder in the western provinces than it is in Toronto. We have days of exceptional cold and days of exceptional heat/humidity… but the rest of the time, it’s pretty pleasant… Gee, you mean to say we might have been neighbours?
At the moment I do have to stay in Switzerland for a while. You’ll see all these mountains with the snow? Let me tell you: Looking at the winter 2013/14 it’s a downright lie.

We’re supposed to have a couple of sunny days this week and then snow again this Friday.
Hunh. Time to crank up the heating. Best if you hibernate for two or three months.
