You know… you’ll be surprised… I loved popcorn for a long time – of course with salt and butter… right?
And then I heard a diet coach saying that popcorn is EXCELLENT to lose weight because it fills the stomach and is healthy since being made of corn…
I nearly clapped my hands when he added: “Of course no additional fats like butter and no salt have to be combined with popcorn.”
I nearly groaned….
I tried it anyway…. it tasted like overcooked Kotex and I nearly choked to death…
It was the last time I had popcorn – and that’s over 6 years ago….
😦
I use low fat margarine – 35 calories for two tablespoons and a pinch of salt. I think it’s a great low-fat snack – plus it has even higher antioxidants levels than fruits.
I haven’t had popcorn in years, maybe even decades. I love movie theater popcorn, but the price, upwards of $10 a bag, doesn’t sit well with me, so I don’t go to movies anymore.
One of my favorite things…:-)
Me too — even more so, now that I own a Cuisinart Corn Popper. 🙂

Chewing popcorn helps me think.
One of my favorite comfort foods – particularly when watching an old movie…
I love old movies.

I rarely buy popcorn at the movies. You’re right. $10 a bag is highway robbery. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Nice to see you here. 🙂
