Great photo! You know I never knew they could climb until one night camping I saw two of them come down a pine tree that was about 60 feet tall. My jaw dropped! They climb as well as squirrels.
It’s the first time I’ve seen one in a tree. When I was a young kid, I thought I was chasing a cat. I wanted to play with it. When it went into our front bushes, I noticed its tail. Luckily I was smart enough to run the other way.

I took about twenty pics of that raccoon. It was so high up in the tree, it was difficult to photograph.
hmm … do they bite?
I think like any wild animal, they would bite if provoked.
