Makes me long for my childhood in the Midwest. It’s been more than 20 years since I lived anywhere that it snowed in the winter. I’ve lived in San Francisco for the past 16 years, and we rarely get a snowflake. Occasionally, we’ll see a “snowline” in the Berkeley hills. Otherwise, we head to the Lake Tahoe area to play. There’s a ski resort called Sugarbowl that gets hundreds of inches of snow each year, one of many in the Sierras. A lot of people go to Squaw Valley where the Olympics were held in 1960, but I prefer Sugarbowl for the sheer quantity of snow. It’s near where the infamous Donner Party met their fate. I shudder to think about trying to make it over Donner Pass in the winter with little sustenance, warm clothing—or a 4WD vehicle.
I suppose I would miss the snow too, if away from it that long. We’ve got flurries in the forecast for today. It hasn’t started yet. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
WOW! now that is a lot of snow 😀
Pretty, though … 🙂
Very, I envy envy that you are seeing this 😀
*smiling*
This is actually beautiful… especially from Delhi where we don;t get snow. 🙂
That’s one of the reasons why I posted the snow pics — for people who don’t see snow.
Go home.. get into bed and stay there… who con do anything when the brain is frozen???????
You’re too much! Ha!
