Yay!

I woke up this morning, read a bit more of Syd Field’s book, THE SCREENWRITER’S WORKBOOK and then all of a sudden it happened–a major breakthrough in the writing of my screenplay…the missing pieces that I had been looking for, for the past eleven months.  Upon realizing this, tears poured from my eyes and I began to sob–tears of joy and resolution.  I jotted down as much dialogue as I could so I wouldn’t forget the exact wording–almost as if the characters gave it to me, themselves.  I have to be at work in one hour.  I can’t wait to come home and start writing.

Ha! Mary at work took one look at me and commented, “Look at the smile on you! What did YOU do last night?” I replied, “It’s what I did this morning,” and then I walked away smiling even harder.

Hi Rusky! I’m just drew a new Em doodle. The one that I posted was bothering me–she looked too young and kind of cheap looking–not the image I was looking for. I’m going to replace the doodle in just a few minutes–then I have to go to the store. Hope we can connect this weekend. M.A.

  19. those epiphany type of moments are awesome. Another book I highly recommend is the writer’s journey by Christopher Vogler. If you ever have any questions about screenwriting books let me know, kind of addicted to them. Have about 75 of them, yeah, I know, it’s a problem lol but if you’ve any questions, maybe save you a buck or so. Hope the story keeps you writing all night, I cherish those nights. Great post. Thanks

By the way…if you go to category, “my doodles” you can view recent doodles that i’ve made of my five main characters. My last doodle entry is not one of them. Lol! Also…if you check my blogroll, I’ve got links to all of my favorite screenwriting sites there. Some of them might be of interest to you… Wishing you a good evening. M.A.
