stuck on stop–writing in the moment

toronto’s current thunderstorm

a thunderous affair

sounds like

100,000 pound objects

falling from the sky

exploding on earth

yet looking outside

it’s simply raining

no lightning

traffic lights

across the street

stuck on stop

and blinking

oh wait now

i hear a siren screaming

a strange-sounding siren at that

i hear another one

sounding a bit more like our regular sirens

it’s become quiet again

It better not thunder when I visit, I don’t intend to spend my time there hiding under the bed…I know I know –> wimp!

Not to worry…The thunder was short-lived. The traffic lights are still not working though. It could just be the lights here at my intersection. I’m sure you’ll have a nice stay in Toronto. Best regards – mypenandme 🙂

Perhaps it was a ‘light’ rain?
