horn fly
jingles in sunlight
poised on a cow’s bell
zzzzzzzzzz
tick-tock-tick-tock
ding-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling
snort
“Wha?”
tweet tweet, tweet tweet, chirp
vaarroom . . .
distant horn sounds
vaarroom . . .
tweet tweet
zzzzz zzzzz zzzzz
“A fly?”
swat, swat, slap . . . .
long yawn and sigh
eyes closing
tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock
zzzzzzzzzz
in a crazy mood
eating gingersnaps
indigo blue light below
ding-dong
snort
“Wha?”
rat-a-tat . . . rat-a-tat
bang-bang-bang-bang-bang
“Yeh, yeh, yeh, I’m coming! Grrrrrrr!”
tramp tramp tramp tramp
sound of door opening . . .
“Are you coming to work today?”
“Oh my stars! Yes. I’m sorry! I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.”

-a very silly poem, please forgive me! Lol…
There’s many of us done this methinks – though not all would admit to it. Very funny and strangely astute.
Ha! I’m going back to sleep now before it actually happens! I wanted to write a poem with sounds. Thanks for reading. 🙂
Well it worked.
Thanks! 🙂
a very interesting piece of expression… yes! I do like it!
Thank you, MJ. I woke up and wrote it. 🙂
silly yes but that is why I love it…great narrative!
Thank you for that! 🙂
silly is good
Ha!
It is an interesting piece with use of onomatopoeia. Sometimes we just need some sound to make sense. Last weekend, I almost bought a mini cow bell originated from New Zealand, which surely will help me understand this poem better.
Thank you for your kind review. 🙂
Fun! And a perfect poem to teach onomatopoeia to writing students, too! 🙂
Why, thank you! 🙂
Too cute!
*smiling*
You warned us that fhis was going to contain a lot of sounds! You did not dissapoint. I really like this poem!
Aw, thanks, Liz! Are you getting the hot weather out in Manitoba? It’s supposed to feel like 40 C here today. I’ll look forward to returning home tonight where it’s cool. Have a good day. M.A.
No actually we are overcast and cool. I saw that the advisories were out for those lving in the TO area. I hope you make it home safe and sound to your cool reterat. Suck those popsicles!
I’m home safe and sound, Liz–a little more tanned than when I left. 🙂
*chuckle!* Glad to hear you didn’t melt into the sidewalk!
No–I’m still as solid as ever! Lol… I’ll see you online later, I’m sure. Until then – M.A.
A nice bit of fun this
Thanks, Ian. Thanks for visiting.
I’m pretty sure that an appropriate comment would be……… zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh, sorry. I fell asleep. Now what was I going to say?
Ha! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I relate to this morning jingles~ how very clever! Loved it! ~Deborah
Ha! Thank you, Deborah! 🙂
I love it lol…this can be so anyone 🙂
Thanks! I had fun writing it. 🙂
An absolutely brilliant poem! I can see this as a Children’s Picture Book. Well done 🙂
Thanks, my friend. 🙂
Delightfully silly!
Ha! Thanks! 🙂
Sadly, another Russel Ray camping trip comes to an end………………..
Thanks for all the time that you spent here. I appreciate it.
