tea at 3

sitting at table

rose and blue laugh merrily

as picasso

playing with sugar cubes

trembles with joy

and feeling de light

escapes into state-of-the-art idea

he dampens cloth napkin

with cold tea

wipes his brow

please keep this to yourselves, he says

we’re in this together

soul mates

he somehow found that in me

gravitated toward it

any discussion

would have ruined it completely

so we simply held each other

carried on

intuitions, being enough

not everything had to be discussed

you’re the love of my life, he said

you’re the love of my life, i said

soul mates
